The 2018 MACE Annual Congress was hosted by the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) and the MACE Board of Directors.
Congress 2018 was hosted at the Bellville Campus of CPUT. Established at the beginning of 2005 when the former Cape Technikon and Peninsula Technikon merged, CPUT is today the only university of technology in the Western Cape. The largest university in the region, it boasts more than 30 000 students on several campuses and service points, with more than 70 programmes.
CPUT’s vision is to be at the heart of technology education and innovation in Africa and to that end the university hosts several research centres and units such as the French South African Institute of Technology (F’Sati) which recently sent off its second nano-satellite, ZACube-2.
