Cathy Cloete

Catherine (Cathy) holds a National Diploma in Office Administration, a Diploma in Events Coordination, a Diploma in Project Management, a BTech Degree in Quality Management and is currently studying towards her Masters Degree in Business Administration at CPUT.

She enrolled as a student 1989 and started working at Peninsula Technikon in 1992.  With 26 years experience in the HE sector, Cathy is currently managing the Public Relations and Events unit at CPUT.
Cathy is the Founder and Director of an NPC called SA Born Free Youth Development. This NPC was created to mobilize and connect young people across geographical and socio-economic barriers from both developing and developed countries on injustice programmes. Through conferences, networking, workshops and training, the Born Free SA Youth Development programme became a catalyst to connect and convene youth and youth programs working in communities around the globe.

She is a member of HERS-SA Academy and PSETA (International Protocol and Business Etiquette Consultants).

She has an optimistic outlook on life with a “Never say die” attitude.
