Marick Hornsveld

Marick holds a BA in Journalism and an Honours degree in Culture and Media Studies from the University of Pretoria, as well as a BPhil in Document Analysis and Design from Stellenbosch University.

She started her career in Pretoria working as a writer and editor in the educational publishing industry, before moving to Cape Town and joining CPUT as Web Editor in 2010, where she honed her skills as digital and social content producer and marketer.

She joined Stellenbosch University in 2017 as Deputy Director: Digital Communication where she oversees the co-ordination of the insititution’s social media, e-communication, and website, as well as divisional systems.

In her free time she writes and edits learning material and builds websites. She has co-authored 13 published CAPS and FET textbooks.

She is a passionate mountain biker, LEGO builder, and dog lover.
