Catherine Cloete is a dynamic, warm, and purpose-driven professional with over 33 years of dedicated service in the Higher Education sector. As the Public Relations and Events Manager at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), she leads with creativity, precision, and an unwavering passion for excellence.

A long-standing member of the Marketing, Advancement and Communication in Education (MACE) community, Cathy currently serves as the National Deputy Chairperson of the MACE Board. She is also a proud alumna of the Higher Education Resource Services – South Africa (HERS-SA) and a certified International Protocol and Business Etiquette Consultant.

Beyond her professional achievements, Cathy is known for her strength, authenticity, and zest for life. A cancer survivor, she embodies resilience and faith, guided by her personal mottos: “If things don’t go right, just turn left,” and “Nothing is going to happen to me today that the Lord and I can’t handle.”

Whether she’s coordinating high-profile institutional events, hiking new trails, travelling, or captivating audiences as a keynote speaker, Cathy’s mission remains clear — to uplift, inspire, and remind others that joy and purpose can shine through any challenge.
