John Bailey owns two of South Africa’s most popular newspapers the Sunday World and Sunday Sun. He is a veteran journalist with over 30 years’ experience in managing national television, digital and radio news teams. He was previously a senior news executive at eNCA where he drove impartial journalism for the 24-hour news channel. For 15 years he worked at the SABC in various roles, including radio, television, and investigative news reporting.

Bailey lived and worked as a foreign correspondent in China for more than 10 years, during which time he interviewed global leaders and policy makers. He is renowned as a skilled cross-cultural communicator with an extensive network of business, dignitaries, and governmental stakeholders.
