Prof Kathija Yassim is an associate professor and strategic thought leader in ethical educational leadership, sustainability, and global engagement.

Her work explores the future of higher education through inclusive, decolonial, and digitally ethical lenses. She leads transformative projects such as Decolonising AI Leadership and integrates green pedagogy into curriculum innovation.

Prof Yassim contributes to UJ’s 2035 Strategic Plan, aligning internationalisation with equity and intercultural competence. Her participatory workshops foreground African knowledge systems, empowering educators and students to navigate emerging challenges.
